Are you a Qualified IT Teacher seeking a better work-life balance or a new professional direction? Whether you require the absolute autonomy of day-to-day supply or prefer the consistency of a dedicated long-term placement, we offer excellent opportunities tailored to your individual requirements.
We are currently partnering with an established portfolio of secondary schools and academies throughout King's Lynn and the wider Norfolk area. We are seeking enthusiastic, qualified IT specialists to deliver high-quality, engaging practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This framework is ideal for accomplished educators looking to step away from the administrative burdens of full-time classroom ownership, as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) aiming to sharpen their instructional skills and build diverse experience across different departmental teams.
Engagement Options:
Day-to-Day Cover: Maintain complete control over your professional calendar. Select your working days on a weekly basis to seamlessly accommodate personal commitments, further studies, or lifestyle preferences. This route offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to different secondary settings.
Long-Term Opportunities: For teachers seeking contractual continuity, we manage fixed-term assignments spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity leave, long-term absence, or interim vacancies). This allows you to integrate fully into a local IT/Computing department, manage technical classrooms, and effectively guide your students' GCSE or vocational progress.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or a recognised equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
A strong degree or specialism in Computer Science, Information Technology, Creative iMedia, or a related discipline.
Comprehensive working knowledge of the Secondary Computing National Curriculum across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE, BTEC, or Cambridge National specifications).
Confident classroom management capabilities and the ability to confidently teach practical skills such as coding/programming, digital literacy, and systems architecture.
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check).
Professional Benefits:
Competitive daily rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your qualification and main pay scale (MPS) experience.
Dedicated support from an industry-specialist consultant with comprehensive market knowledge of the Norfolk education sector.
A transparent, efficient booking service that operates strictly in alignment with your declared availability.
The opportunity to explore diverse local secondary schools, which frequently opens doors to permanent positions if that aligns with your long-term career goals.
