Are you an experienced Labourer looking for more than just "general" site tidying? We are seeking a key operative to join a flagship commercial development in Leeds City Centre.
This is a long-term contract position for a proactive individual who can take ownership of tasks and act as a right-hand to the Site Management team.
The Role and Responsibilities:
As a Key Operative on a large-scale commercial build, your role is more technical and involved than standard labouring. You will be responsible for:
- Plot & Area Ownership: Managing specific floors or zones, ensuring they are ready for upcoming trades.
- Complex Material Logistics: Coordinating the movement of high-value commercial materials (glass, steel, partitions) using mechanical aids where required.
- Trade Coordination: Working closely with subcontractors to ensure they have the access and materials needed to stay on schedule.
- Site Safety Leadership: Assisting with the installation of edge protection, fire stopping, and maintaining critical safety walkways.
- Site Management Support: Assisting the Foreman with daily logs, delivery intake, and site inspections.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card: Essential (Green or Blue).
- Proven Experience: Significant experience on large-scale commercial or industrial sites is a must.
- Specialist Skills: Experience with power tools, basic hand tools, or specialized tasks like fire stopping or mastic work is highly beneficial.
- Certifications: Additional tickets such as Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, or First Aid are a major advantage.
- Reliability: We need a "first on, last off" mentality. Punctuality and a professional attitude are non-negotiable.
- Full PPE: Hard hat, high-vis, and steel-toe boots (safety glasses and gloves where required).
How to Apply:
If the role sounds like something of interest, and you meet the above requirements, we would love to hear from you! You can apply for the role today by submitting your most recent CV, highlighting your relevant skills and experience.
