Are you a hardworking and skilled labourer looking for a stable, long-term contract? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team on a busy new build housing site in South Otterington. This is a varied role combining general labouring with specific pre-boarding work, making it perfect for someone who is proactive and versatile.
Main Duties:
- Pre-Boarding Work: Assisting with the preparation of internal walls and ceilings before plastering.
- Material Handling: Moving materials such as plasterboards, timber, and insulation safely and efficiently around the plots.
- Assisting Tradespeople: Providing support to various trades on site, including joiners and plasterers.
- Site Upkeep: Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment both inside the properties and across the site.
- General Labouring: Carrying out general site duties as required by site management.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly following all site health and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Experienced: Proven experience as a Labourer, ideally on a new build housing site.
- Skilled: Possesses some experience or an aptitude for pre-boarding work and fixing materials.
- Reliable & Proactive: Punctual, highly motivated, and able to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Physically Fit: Capable of performing manual tasks and handling materials.
- Certified: A valid CSCS card is essential for this role.
- Tools: Basic hand tools would be beneficial, but main tools will be provided.
