Job Title: Traffic Marshall / Site Labourer
Location: Tonbridge, Kent (TN9 / TN10)
Start Date: Monday, 12th October 2026
Contract Duration: Ongoing / Long-Term
Working Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £15.00 - £16.50 per hour (dependent on pay type)
About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable, hard-working Traffic Marshall / Site Labourer for an ongoing construction project in Tonbridge, starting this coming Monday, 12th October 2026.
This is a combined dual-role: you will manage gate traffic and vehicle access to keep the site entrance safe, and assist with general site labouring duties during quieter delivery periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Traffic Control: Safely guiding construction vehicles, delivery lorries, and plant machinery in and out of site gates using standard hand signals.
- Gate & Public Safety: Logging delivery drivers, checking delivery notes, and keeping public footpaths and access gates clear of hazards.
- General Labouring: Assisting site trades, clearing construction waste, sweeping work zones, and maintaining recycling skips during delivery downtime.
- Strictly enforcing the site traffic management plan and health & safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or Lantra accredited essential).
- Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above).
- Full PPE (High-vis jacket & hi-vis trousers, steel toe boots, hard hat, and safety gloves).
- Previous experience in a combined gate management and labouring role.
- Punctual, dependable, and available to start on Monday, 12th October.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Start Date: Monday, 12th October 2026.
- Duration: Long-term ongoing work.
- Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options.
