Learning Associate / Learning Support Assistant
To start as soon as possible
Crawley Area
We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant practitioner to join an inclusive 11-18 school, providing key support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom.
You'll support pupils in accessing the curriculum at an appropriate level and adapting the learning to make it accessible for students with specific needs. This role also involves providing pastoral support, and you'll monitor progress to feed back whilst working closely with relevant staff to ensure students can achieve to the fullest extent.
You will ideally have experience of supporting pupils with additional needs and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs, including supporting speech and language.
You'll be able to make a key difference to a pupil's educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skillset with key training and development opportunities available.
Awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision, would be an advantage.
