Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) - Liverpool
Are you passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning? We are looking for empathetic and proactive Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join secondary schools across Liverpool.
As we move into the Summer Term of 2026, your role is more important than ever. You will be the bridge to success for students with additional needs (SEN) as they navigate the pressure of Key Stage 4 (GCSE) exams and the transition phases of Key Stage 3. Joining in May allows you to become a familiar face and a source of stability before the academic year concludes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs (SEN) or in a coaching/educational capacity.
- Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to simplify complex tasks into manageable steps.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Key Duties:
- Support learning by working with small groups or individuals to reinforce lesson objectives.
- Manage behaviour within the classroom to maintain a focused and positive environment.
- Prepare resources and set up equipment before lessons to ensure a smooth start.
- Safeguard pupils by following all school policies and child protection procedures.
- Assist the teacher with administrative tasks and the display of student work.
- Lead interventions for students requiring extra help with literacy or numeracy.
