Job Title: Static Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Kettering
Salary: £40,000 - £41,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday (07:00 - 15:00 or 07:30 - 15:30)
Package & Benefits
- Base Salary: £40,000 - £41,000
- Working Hours: Early shift pattern (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri)
- Overtime: Available for optional extra earnings
- On-Call Rota: Fully optional (opt-in / opt-out friendly for work-life balance)
- Call-Out Allowance: £190 per week standby when on rota, 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 week rotation covering the wider Midlands region. (95% of the time is to arrange vendor, If you attend a site, the client will cover fuel and hours on site.).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across regional commercial/industrial sites.
- Respond efficiently to emergency reactive requests and electrical breakdowns.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot complex power supply issues, and carry out remedial repairs.
- Complete minor electrical installation projects, including lighting circuits and power distribution adjustments.
- Maintain clear logs of maintenance work and manage vendor site access when required.
- Ensure all works adhere strictly to current UK Health & Safety guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in Electrical Installation.
- Regulations: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience: Proven track record in commercial or multi-site electrical maintenance.
- Driving Licence: Valid UK Driver's Licence (essential for regional site travel).
- Skills: Strong fault-finding ability, independence, and strong communication skills.
