Job Advert: Maintenance Electrician

Salary: £52,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated facilities team in Oxford.
We are seeking a proactive and highly competent electrician to take responsibility for the electrical maintenance across a key site. This role is perfect for a professional looking for a stable, Monday to Friday position with an excellent salary and a fantastic work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems.
Conducting fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of electrical equipment, including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and emergency systems.
Performing minor electrical installations and project works as required.
Ensuring all work is completed in strict accordance with current health and safety legislation and the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Completing EICRs and all necessary documentation and job sheets accurately and on time.
Participating in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours emergency cover.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must be a fully qualified electrician holding an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds 2365).
City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS 7671) certification is essential.
City & Guilds 2391 in Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Proven experience working in a commercial or industrial maintenance environment.
Strong technical knowledge with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team.
A full UK driving licence.
