Are you a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician seeking a challenging role within a critical facility environment? We are looking for a proactive and highly competent professional to join my client's team in West London. Key Responsibilities
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Execute scheduled maintenance on electrical systems, including power distribution boards, switchgear, lighting, and emergency lighting.
Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding: Respond promptly and efficiently to electrical breakdowns and system failures. Diagnose complex faults accurately and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
Critical Systems: Work on and maintain critical electrical infrastructure such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, standby generators, and fire alarm systems.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and all relevant health and safety regulations.
Testing & Inspection: Conduct electrical testing and inspection, including PAT testing and EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) where qualified.
On-Call Rota: Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota for out-of-hours emergencies, ensuring critical systems are supported 24/7.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and incidents using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
About You
- A formal qualification at NVQ/C&G Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably within a critical or industrial environment (e.g., data centre, hospital, manufacturing plant).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
- A full UK Driving Licence is highly desirable.
