Position Summary
The Raw Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and issuing raw materials to support production operations. This role ensures materials are accurately tracked, properly stored, and handled in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection: Verify incoming raw materials against documentation for accuracy and quality.
Inventory Control: Label, store, and organize materials according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow FIFO/FEFO practices.
Production Support: Issue raw materials to production areas based on specific work orders and batch records.
Documentation: Accurately record material movements using inventory systems or manual logs; support cycle counts and audits.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all handling meets GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and EHS safety standards.
Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) if certified.
Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the raw material storage areas.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, material handling, or a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP) is preferred.
Technical Skills: Basic computer and documentation skills; Forklift/Pallet Jack certification is a significant advantage.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift/move materials typically up to 40-50 lbs.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strict adherence to SOPs and work instructions.
Work Environment
Setting: Warehouse or manufacturing facility.
PPE: Safety shoes, gloves, and gowns (provided).
