Rate: Up to £22.75 per hour
Working Hours: 37 hours per week: Mon - Thur: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Fri: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
As a Material Planner for this large global manufacturer, you will be the primary link between suppliers and production, ensuring that the right parts are in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate and oversee part deliveries to ensure 100% availability across facilities.
Shortage Management: Proactively identify and resolve potential part shortages before they interrupt operations.
Professional Communication: Engage with internal teams and suppliers via phone, email, and TEAMS to keep everyone aligned.
System Management: Utilise specialised tools to track orders and manage inventory flow.
Forecasting: Generate replenishment plans to meet service level targets and optimise inventory.
Compliance: Support the business by checking freight invoice values to ensure procedural accuracy.
What You Bring to the Team
We are looking for someone who doesn't just "manage" a process but seeks to improve it.
Logistics Expertise: Proven experience in supply chain operations and material handling.
MRP Knowledge: A solid understanding of Manufacturing Requirements Planning systems.
Analytical Mindset: The ability to analyse complex situations and make informed, effective decisions.
Communication Skills: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and peers.
Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational hurdles across diverse scenarios.
Mobility: While primarily based in Stafford, you may occasionally travel (up to 5%) to local UK suppliers (typically within a 2-hour radius).
