We are seeking a high-caliber Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) for a permanent position at our partner Secondary School in Cambridge. Your Responsibilities
- Academic Excellence: Plan and deliver high-impact lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics for the right candidate.
- GCSE Strategy: Lead Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising data-driven interventions to close attainment gaps and push high-achievers.
- Conceptual Teaching: Move beyond rote learning to foster deep conceptual understanding, using various pedagogical styles to suit mixed-ability classes.
- Numerical Literacy: Champion "Maths across the curriculum," helping students see the vital role of numeracy in Science, Geography, and daily life.
- Collaborative Growth: Contribute to the development of innovative schemes of work and share best practices within a highly supportive department.
- Pastoral Role: Act as a Form Tutor, supporting the holistic development, wellbeing, and academic progress of your tutees.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related highly-numerical field.
- Logical Clarity: The ability to break down abstract concepts (from trigonometry to calculus) into digestible, "small-step" instructions.
- Growth Mindset: A belief that every student can succeed in Mathematics with the right support and encouragement.
