Role: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
Location: Colchester / Sudbury Area
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time (Long-Term & Permanent Opportunities)
Pay Rate: £130-£145 per day (DOE)
Are you an inspiring and enthusiastic Secondary Maths Teacher looking for your next challenge across the North Essex and South Suffolk border? We are currently working alongside an established group of secondary schools in the Colchester and Sudbury area looking for dynamic Mathematics teachers to join their academic departments.
Whether you are looking for long-term cover, flexible assignments, or a pathway to a permanent contract, this role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and foster a genuine passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate learning activities to challenge high achievers and support students working toward target grades.
- Monitor student attainment and track progress to ensure consistent academic development.
- Maintain positive classroom management and create an inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels confident.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply).
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics with a proven track record of student progress.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK.
