My client are a well-established, medium-sized Building Services and Maintenance Contractor with a long history of serving London's capital. They specialize in M&E, maintenance, and building works, offering a "one-stop shop" solution to their clients.
They are seeking a highly capable and client-facing Project Electrician to deliver new M&E installations and refurbishments on onf their key heritage sites in London. This role requires a dedicated professional with excellent technical skills who can work autonomously, ensuring all work is executed to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality within live building environments.
Key Responsibilities
New Installations: Install, wire, and commission new electrical systems, including lighting, power, and associated control wiring, ensuring strict compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
System Expertise: Utilize advanced working knowledge of various containment systems (tray, trunking, conduit, etc.) and complex electrical infrastructure during project execution.
Lighting Controls: Apply knowledge of advanced lighting control systems such as DALI and Exor during commissioning and fault-finding.
Maintenance & Fault Finding: Conduct effective fault-finding and maintenance on both new and existing electrical installations to ensure system functionality and longevity.
Quality & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of workmanship and adhere strictly to all site safety protocols, permits, and regulatory guidelines.
Site Surveys: Undertake thorough site surveys to accurately determine project requirements and scope, relaying detailed information to Contract Managers.
Technical Reporting: Provide professional technical assessments and clear communication to both the management team and clients regarding job progress and site findings.
Compliance Management: Ensure all installations are carried out with competence and meet the requirements of NICEIC standards and all relevant industry codes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Formal Apprenticeship OR relevant City & Guilds (C&G) qualifications.
Must hold a valid 18th Edition
Proven experience in diverse electrical installations within commercial and high-end environments.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a proactive attitude and the ability to work on your own initiative.
Desirable (Highly Advantageous)
Testing & Inspection: City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing certification.
Accreditation: Valid CSCS Card.
