Term: 6-Month Contract
Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 - 4:45 pm Friday - 8:30 - 4:15 pm
Pay Rate: £25.40 - £29.10 p/h (PAYE)
What You Will Do:
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key player in the Test Facilities Engineering team. Your primary focus will be designing, implementing, and upgrading development facilities to ensure they are ready for current and future powertrain systems.
Key responsibilities include:
System Design & Deployment: Evaluating, selecting, and deploying advanced powertrain test cell technologies, alongside designing mechanical systems and supporting services.
Facility Modifications: Modifying facility plant, test rigs, and equipment to meet evolving strategic demands.
Complex Problem Solving: Leading complex fault-finding initiatives across the facility, specifically focusing on services and safety systems within the test cell environment.
Project Leadership: Collaborating with multi-functional teams and external third parties to lead and execute small-to-medium engineering projects.
Documentation: Developing and maintaining engineering processes, and compiling technical reports to distribute key insights and recommendations.
What We Are Looking For:
Our client needs someone who can hit the ground running with a blend of practical, hands-on experience and solid analytical capabilities.
Industry Experience: A proven track record working within an engine, powertrain, or EV test cell environment (or extensive experience with relevant mechanical and safety systems).
Core Technical Skills: Strong hands-on test cell/test facilities experience, excellent project handling capabilities, and a knack for complex fault-finding.
Qualifications: An Engineering or Technical Degree is preferred, though candidates qualified through substantial, relevant work experience are highly encouraged to apply.
IT Literacy: Proficiency in using standard PC engineering software.
