We are seeking a high-caliber Qualified French Teacher (QTS) for a permanent position at a wonderful Secondary School in Cambridge, commencing this September. Your Responsibilities
- Linguistic Excellence: Plan and deliver engaging, immersive lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to lead A-Level French cohorts.
- Target Language Advocacy: Cultivate a classroom environment where the target language is used authentically, building student confidence in listening and speaking.
- GCSE & A-Level Mastery: Lead students through exam specifications (AQA/Edexcel), focusing on high-level translation, literary analysis, and spontaneous oral performance.
- Cultural Enrichment: Integrate Francophone literature, cinema, and current affairs into the curriculum to provide real-world context and depth.
- Curriculum Innovation: As a permanent staff member, you will contribute to the evolution of the MFL schemes of work, ensuring they remain diverse, challenging, and inclusive.
- Pastoral Commitment: Take on a form tutor role, providing holistic support and academic mentoring to a dedicated group of students.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in French or a related linguistic discipline.
- Near-Native Fluency: Exceptional command of the French language and a deep-seated passion for Francophone cultures.
