We are seeking a proactive and versatile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team for a long-term commercial contract. This role is essential for maintaining the operational standards of a high-profile site by addressing a wide range of fabric and technical maintenance requirements.
Role Overview
Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
Duration: 12-month contract.
Shift Pattern: Standard day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance & Repairs
Utilize basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing knowledge to resolve a variety of onsite maintenance tasks.
Perform repairs to floor and wall coverings.
Conduct ceiling tile repairs and replacements as needed.
Address general building and installation works across the facility.
Mechanical & Electrical Services
Carry out lighting maintenance, including general lamp changes.
Perform filter changes for AHUs and FCUs.
Execute basic plumbing requirements to ensure system functionality.
Operational Compliance
Respond to reactive work requests within the team and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
Liaise with client representatives professionally regarding ongoing maintenance and repair tasks.
Undertake site surveys and produce detailed Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works.
Utilize a PDA to complete work orders and provide key communications and updates.
Requirements
Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to carry out multi-trade tasks including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
Experience: Ability to undertake reactive tasks, PPM jobs, and minor projects in a timely manner.
Compliance: Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Professionalism: Excellent communication skills for liaising with onsite representatives and management.
