About the RoleWe provide a nurturing and creative environment where children aged 0-5 can play, learn, and flourish. You will work in a supportive, close-knit team, ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in their early years. This is a full-time, permanent position with working hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality day-to-day care, overseeing routines including snack/mealtimes, personal care, and rest periods.
- Plan and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities that align with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) goals.
- Build strong, reassuring relationships with children and maintain transparent communication with parents and carers.
- Support key person responsibilities, including observing progress, tracking milestones, and updating learning journals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment across all nursery rooms.
- Uphold all nursery policies, health and safety protocols, and safeguarding procedures.
- For Qualified Applicants: Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Childhood Studies (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
- For Unqualified Applicants: Must have genuine hands-on experience (e.g., babysitting, nannying, youth work) and a strong passion for childhood development.
- Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork, and a reliable, patient demeanour.
- Ability to commute easily to our Carshalton location.
- Competitive pay ranging from £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
