With a robust pipeline of work and a commitment to excellence, they are seeking a talented and motivated Freelance Project Planner to join their dynamic team in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for complex rail projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines.
Utilise your expert proficiency in Primavera P6 to create robust and accurate project plans, including resource loading and critical path analysis.
Leverage MS Project where appropriate for specific project elements or smaller work packages.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather progress updates, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present regular project performance reports, highlighting key metrics, variances, and forecasts.
Contribute to effective stakeholder communication regarding project timelines and progress.
Apply your understanding of project management methodologies, including principles inspired by PRINCE2, to ensure best practices are adhered to.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Project Planner within the rail or heavy infrastructure sector.
Demonstrable expertise in using Primavera P6 for complex project scheduling.
Proficiency in MS Project.
Strong understanding of multi-disciplined project environments (e.g., civils, M&E, signalling, track).
Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
