Job Title: Preboarder
Location: Durham
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
About the Role: We are looking for a preboarder to assist with prepping site areas and preparing walls/ceilings prior to plasterboarding.
Duties Include:
- Inspecting framing, joists, and studwork to ensure they are plumb, level, and ready for boarding.
- Installing noggins, backings, and timber supports where needed.
- Ensuring cavity insulation, vapor barriers, and soundproofing materials are correctly in place.
- Clearing out debris, protruding nails, and obstructions from the fixing areas.
- Assisting dryliners and plasterers on-site.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full PPE (boots, hi-vis, hard hat).
- Previous preboarding or drylining experience on a construction or refurbishment site.
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working.
