This role is designed for individuals who strive to provide direct, lasting support to young learners with additional needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver targeted 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEN) to reach key learning milestones.
- Facilitate small group interventions to boost academic progress and student confidence.
- Maintain an inclusive, safe, and welcoming classroom environment for all pupils.
- Employ positive behavioural management strategies to maintain student focus and engagement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor, adapt, and report on individual student development.
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school or similar educational setting.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and parents.
- An enhanced DBS check or the immediate willingness to obtain one.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Relevant childcare or teaching assistant certifications (preferred).
- Specific SEN training such as Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS is considered an asset.
- Competitive daily rate of £90.00 - £105.00, depending on experience.
