Key Responsibilities:
- Tailored Educational Support: Provide individualised and group support to students with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND).
- Collaborative Teaching: Work closely with fellow teachers and Key Stage coordinators to integrate SEN strategies effectively.
- Mentorship: Act as a mentor and guide, offering additional support to students facing academic and social challenges, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with colleagues, students, and parents to foster an inclusive educational atmosphere.
- Program Development: Develop, evaluate, and enhance engaging learning programs to uphold high teaching standards.
- Passionate Teaching: Demonstrate a deep passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of students aged 5-11 across Years 1-6.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with children with SEN, preferably in an educational setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities and adeptness at working collaboratively in diverse environments.
- Dedication to SEN: A genuine enthusiasm for working with SEN children and a solid understanding of their educational and social care needs.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods and strategies to meet the varied needs of SEN students.
- Experience: Proven experience in teaching primary-aged children is essential.
