We are seeking a high-calibre Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS mandatory) to join our partner Primary School in Hatfield for a full-time, long-term placement starting in September 2026. Whether your passion lies within Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, this welcoming school heavily values child-centred learning, creative curriculum delivery, and strong teamwork. As a full-time class teacher, you will take on full teaching responsibilities, driving academic progress and fostering a genuine love for learning across your cohort.
Your Responsibilities
- Inspirational Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and teach creative, engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum, adapting your teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning profiles within your classroom.
- Progress Tracking & Assessment: Utilise robust formative and summative assessment frameworks to track student milestones, using data effectively to implement tailored catch-up or stretch interventions.
- Inclusive Classroom Leadership: Manage and deploy your classroom Teaching Assistants effectively, ensuring that pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) receive targeted guidance.
- Positive Environment: Foster a calm, stimulating, and inclusive classroom culture rooted in mutual respect and positive reinforcement, where every child feels safe and motivated to learn.
- Parental Partnership: Maintain open, supportive, and professional communication with parents and carers regarding student development, academic breakthroughs, and well-being.
- Collaborative School Contribution: Participate actively in phase planning, staff meetings, professional development sessions, and whole-school community events.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A proven history of classroom teaching within a UK primary school setting. (Experienced generalists and Early Career Teachers are welcome).
- Curriculum Confidence: A deep and up-to-date understanding of primary pedagogy, age-appropriate assessment methods, and effective literacy/numeracy strategies.
- Exceptional Classroom Management: The ability to establish clear routines, high behavioural expectations, and an inclusive, warm learning environment from day one.
- Commitment to the Academic Year: The professional reliability to commit to a full-time, 5-day-a-week timetable starting in September 2026.
- Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad).
