On behalf of our partner Primary School in Waltham Cross, we are looking to appoint a high-calibre Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS mandatory) for a full-time, long-term contract beginning in September 2026. This position is open to dedicated educators across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, within a school that passionately champions child-led learning, innovative lesson design, and genuine staff collaboration. As the full-time class teacher, you will step into complete classroom ownership-propelling pupil progress and nurturing a lifelong curiosity for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovative Lesson Design: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that bring the National Curriculum to life, adjusting your approach to meet the unique learning needs and abilities in your room.
- Progress Assessment: Monitor student milestones using comprehensive formative and summative tracking tools, translating data into focused support or enrichment activities.
- Classroom Team Leadership: Coordinate effectively with your classroom Teaching Assistants, ensuring children with SEND and EAL requirements receive targeted, empowering support.
- Positive Classroom Culture: Build a calm, respectful, and safe classroom community centred around positive reinforcement, clear routines, and emotional safety.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain warm, professional, and consistent communication with parents and carers to share insights on student achievement, behaviour, and overall well-being.
- Whole-School Contribution: Participate actively in phase planning sessions, routine staff meetings, professional development days, and school community events.
What You'll Bring to the School
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A clear track record of successful teaching within a UK primary school setting (We warmly welcome applications from both experienced generalists and Early Career Teachers).
- Pedagogical Confidence: A thorough, up-to-date understanding of primary teaching practices, assessment strategies, and core literacy, phonics, and numeracy frameworks.
- Polished Behavioural Mastery: The ability to introduce clear routines, uphold high expectations, and inspire a focused, optimistic learning atmosphere from day one.
- Long-Term Reliability: The commitment to manage a full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule starting in September 2026 for the full school year.
- Safeguarding Compliance: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one through Randstad).
