The Opportunity
On behalf of a highly regarded, forward-thinking Primary School in St Albans, Randstad Education is seeking to appoint a talented Primary Class Teacher for a full-time, long-term contract beginning in September 2026.

They are looking for an ambitious professional with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who can deliver creative, high-impact lessons while fostering an environment where every child feels valued, safe, and motivated to achieve their full potential.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Design, prepare, and facilitate engaging lessons across the primary National Curriculum, ensuring learning is differentiated to stretch high-ability pupils and support SEN/EAL learners.
- Progress Diagnostics: Utilise routine formative and summative assessments to track pupil milestones, translating data into targeted intervention strategies.
- Classroom Leadership: Direct and collaborate effectively with classroom Teaching Assistants to create a unified, supportive environment during independent and group work.
- Positive Dynamics: Establish clear behavioural boundaries and routines rooted in positive reinforcement, mutual respect, and emotional well-being.
- Community Relations: Maintain transparent, professional communication with parents and carers regarding academic progress, behaviour, and daily breakthroughs.
Candidate Profile
- Professional Credentials: Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record in a UK primary school setting (open to EYFS, KS1, or KS2 specialists).
- Pedagogical Mastery: Deep, up-to-date knowledge of primary pedagogy, core literacy/numeracy frameworks, and child development milestones.
- Adaptive Presence: A patient, resilient, and professional demeanour with excellent classroom management skills.
- Reliability: The professional commitment to manage a full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule across the entire 2026/27 academic year.
- Vetting: An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new application swiftly via Randstad).
