We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term role beginning in September 2026 at an exceptional partner school in St Albans. This progressive Primary School prioritises strong foundational skills in reading and maths alongside emotional and social growth. We need a forward-thinking teacher who can inspire pupils, personalise learning, and create a classroom space where every child flourishes.
Core Responsibilities
- Tailored Lesson Planning: Design, adapt, and teach engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum to support students across varying learning capabilities.
- Core Subject Delivery: Build student confidence in reading, writing, and mathematics through innovative teaching methods.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Work alongside and manage classroom Teaching Assistants to maintain an organised, safe, and positive environment.
- Progress Tracking: Use continuous assessment tools to monitor student growth, identify learning gaps, and celebrate individual accomplishments.
- Staff Collaboration: Partner with Key Stage leads, EYFS teams, and year-group colleagues to maintain consistency across the curriculum.
- Parental Engagement: Build positive, proactive relationships with parents and guardians to support children's learning at home and school.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. Open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a strong foundation in primary education.
- Pedagogical Expertise: Thorough understanding of primary learning milestones, adaptive teaching, and positive behaviour support.
- Composed Demeanor: A resilient, compassionate, and grounded approach to guiding classrooms calmly through dynamic school days.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: A strong commitment to working alongside colleagues to promote pupil well-being and academic success.
- Compliance: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to apply for one through Randstad).
