The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded Primary School located just outside the charming village of Walkern. This full-time, long-term position begins in September 2026 and runs for the duration of the academic year.
The school prides itself on offering a warm, collaborative environment where creative teaching methodologies are celebrated. They are looking for an ambitious educator with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who wants to take full classroom ownership, elevate student confidence, and design learning journeys that children genuinely look forward to each day.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Innovative Lesson Delivery: Design and facilitate engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum frameworks to inspire children across all ability levels.
- Progress Diagnostics: Formulate and execute regular formative assessments, using the insights gained to tailor small-group interventions or challenge high-flying pupils.
- Team Leadership: Work in close synchronisation with your classroom Teaching Assistants to maximise support for children with SEND or EAL profiles.
- Positive Dynamics: Foster an emotionally safe, highly focused, and respectful classroom environment built upon clear operational routines and positive reinforcement.
- Community Relations: Maintain transparent, encouraging communication with parents and guardians regarding academic breakthroughs and social development.
Candidate Profile
- Professional Credentials: Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven background in a UK primary school setting. (Applications from both seasoned professionals and exceptional Early Career Teachers are welcome).
- Pedagogical Mastery: Deep knowledge of primary age-group development milestones, modern assessment practices, and core subject frameworks.
- Adaptive Presence: A patient, emotionally resilient, and professional demeanour with strong behavioural management skills.
- Reliability: The commitment to manage a full-time, Monday-to-Friday teaching schedule across the 2026/27 academic year.
- Vetting: An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to initiate a new application swiftly via Randstad).
