On behalf of our prestigious partner Primary School in Watford, we are currently identifying a high-calibre Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS mandatory) for a full-time, long-term tenure commencing in September 2026. This position is open to dedicated practitioners across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, within an educational community that fiercely champions child-centred learning, academic excellence, and cohesive staff collaboration. As a full-time class teacher, you will assume comprehensive classroom ownership-driving student attainment, refining curriculum delivery, and instilling a lifelong passion for learning.
Your Responsibilities
- Exemplary Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and execute highly engaging, rigorous lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, adapting teaching methodologies to accommodate and stretch the diverse learning profiles within your classroom.
- Inspirational Classroom Leadership: Manage and deploy classroom support staff constructively, ensuring that pupils requiring SEN support or English as an Additional Language (EAL) receive optimised, empowering guidance.
- Cultivating an Inclusive Culture: Establish an orderly, positive, and highly respectful classroom ethos anchored in positive reinforcement, clear behavioural boundaries, and emotional reassurance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain professional, transparent, and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievement, personal development, and overall well-being.
- Whole-School Collaboration: Contribute actively to phase planning, departmental briefings, professional development days, and the school's wider community initiatives.
What You Will Bring to the Institution
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A documented track record of successful classroom leadership within a UK primary educational framework. Applications from both seasoned practitioners and ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
- Pedagogical Expertise: A comprehensive, contemporary command of primary teaching principles, milestone tracking, and core literacy, phonics, and numeracy frameworks.
- Polished Behavioural Management: The ability to institute clear routines, uphold high expectations, and maintain a focused, optimistic instructional environment from the outset.
- Professional Consistency: The reliability to commit to a full-time, Monday-to-Friday teaching timetable for the complete duration of the 2026/27 academic year.
- Compliance: A valid Enhanced Child DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new application through Randstad).
