Position Overview
- Role: Production Operative
- Location: Inchinnan Business Park, Paisley
- Contract: 6 months
- Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour plus a 25% shift allowance
- Hours: 37.50 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Rotating shift pattern that changes weekly: early shift (6:00 - 14:00), nightshift (22:00 - 06:00), and backshift (14:00 - 22:00)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the daily requirements for the manufacture of cell culture media and reagents are consistently met
- Providing crucial support to site manufacturing processes and ensuring the overall efficiency of machines to support schedule attainment
- Working safely alongside chemicals and hazardous materials
- Collaborating independently with team leaders, supervisors, and other departments to uphold quality, service, and customer satisfaction
- Performing manual handling tasks that may be repetitive, which includes standing for long periods of time
- Following strict gowning requirements for different graded and non-graded areas
- Completing required pre- and post-shift activities, including washing hands, gowning up and down, and wearing provided PPE such as overalls, safety glasses, and safety boots
What We Are Looking For
- Candidates must possess a National 5 or better in Standard Grade Maths and English, although relevant work experience is considered a suitable alternative
- Individuals must embrace a high-paced working environment and show a genuine passion for the industry
- Candidates should be driven to continuously improve and engage in team initiatives to make things better
- Full training will be provided to successful candidates
