Role OverviewAs a Psychology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to students at both GCSE and A-Level. This is a full-time, temporary/supply position starting immediately, running through to October half-term with a potential for extension. You will take on full teaching responsibilities, ensuring that every student is supported in their academic journey.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-standard Psychology lessons aligned with the curriculum specification.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster growth.
- Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that encourages critical discussion and learning.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students across various ability levels.
- Prepare learners effectively for upcoming assessments and examinations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to ongoing curriculum support.
- QTS / QTLS is essential (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level.
- Experience with major UK exam boards (such as AQA, Edexcel, or OCR) is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the social sciences.
- Ability to commence duties immediately with minimal transition.
- Must possess an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one immediately.
- Competitive Pay: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS dependent on experience).
