QA Architect
Location: Sheffield, UK(3 days per week in office)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract (with possible extension)
About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled QA Architect for a 6-month contract based in Sheffield. In this critical leadership role, you will define and deliver departmental testing strategies, drive quality governance across multiple regions, and ensure audit readiness within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Experience: 6+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a QA Manager, QA Architect, or Lead capacity.
Strategy & Governance: Proven track record of defining, delivering, and aligning testing strategies and governance frameworks with overarching business goals.
Audit & Compliance: Strong background supporting QA audit readiness, working with Control Owners/Risk Compliance, and managing evidence traceability in regulated environments.
Agile & DevSecOps: Deep familiarity with Agile development, DevSecOps delivery processes, defect management, and CI/CD tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence, GIT).
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to build partnerships across departments, influence change, and present complex data/trend analyses in a simplified manner.
Certifications: Relevant training or certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, audit/quality governance courses) are highly desirable.
Leadership: A strategic, continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to manage workshops, write best-practice documentation, and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
