Qualified Social Worker- Adoption (Family Finding)
We're currently working with a Regional Adoption Agency in Merseyside, who are looking for an experienced Locum Adoption Social Worker to join their Family Finding Team.
This role is focused on matching children with adoptive families, so experience in family finding, adoption processes, and direct work with children is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload where the plan is adoption
- Using a child-centred approach to assess and analyse risk
- Preparing reports, assessments, and matching paperwork in line with statutory timescales
- Engaging in direct work and preparing Lifestory books
- Working in partnership with internal and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Championing good practice and maintaining high quality standards
To be considered for the role, ideally you have:
- A strong background in adoption social work
- Up-to-date knowledge of adoption legislation, regulations, and statutory guidance
- Excellent communication, assessment, and planning skills
- Social Work England registration
- BSc Social Work or equivalent
