Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Stockport Council's Children and Families Team. This is a full time role, with an amazing pay rate of £38 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Social workers conduct statutory assessments to identify the needs of children and families, ensuring timely and appropriate support is provided. This includes working closely with families to develop care plans and coordinate services.
- The team is responsible for protecting children from harm, abuse, and neglect. They work collaboratively with other agencies to investigate concerns and take necessary actions to ensure children's safety.
- Social workers provide ongoing support to children in care, focusing on their well-being and stability. For care leavers, they assist in the transition to independent living, offering guidance on education, employment, and housing.
- Emphasising early intervention, the team works to identify and address issues before they escalate. By providing support at the earliest opportunity, they aim to prevent the need for more intensive services.
- The team offers specialised services for children with disabilities, ensuring they receive tailored support to meet their unique needs.
- Operating within the Stockport Family model, social workers collaborate with professionals from health, education, and other sectors to provide integrated support to families.
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced DBS
