We're proud to be working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit passionate and experienced Social Workers for their Children With Disabilities (CWD) Team.

A supportive management team that prioritises wellbeing, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development
Responsubiities:
Hold a manageable caseload of children and young people with disabilities aged 0-18
Undertake holistic assessments of need under the Children Act
Develop and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Short Breaks packages
Work closely with families to develop tailored plans that promote independence, inclusion, and improved outcomes
Carry out direct work with children and young people with a wide range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and complex health needs
Coordinate and work effectively with health, education, SEN, short breaks providers, and voluntary agencies
Support children and families navigating transitions, including preparing for adulthood
Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, meetings, and where required, legal processes
Champion a strengths-based, child-focused approach
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Experience within a Children With Disabilities, Safeguarding, or other statutory children's social work team
Knowledge of disability legislation, care planning, and multi-agency working
Confidence in preparing clear, professional assessments and reports
Social Work England (SWE) registration
A BSc in Social Work or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and a passion for supporting children with disabilities and their families
