We have a fantastic Locum Social Work opportunity within the Sensory, Physical and Neurological Team in Warrington. This specialist Adults team supports people under 65 with a wide range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, mental health, learning disabilities, acquired brain injury, and autistic spectrum conditions.
You'll be joining a supportive team structure of a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, Experienced Social Workers, ASYE Social Workers and Community Care Workers, with access to dedicated admin support.

Responsibilities
- Carry out personalised assessments, support planning and reviews in line with the Care Act
- Work within the frameworks of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act
- Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions
- Lead on Court of Protection work, S42 Adult Safeguarding Enquiries, and Continuing Health Care assessments
- Work in partnership with service users, carers, families, and partner agencies to achieve holistic outcomes
Promote a strength based approach to maximise independence and wellbeing
Requirements
- Experience in Adult Social Care, ideally with sensory/physical disabilities, neurological conditions, or complex needs
- Social Work England registration
- BSc/BA in Social Work (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding responsibilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
