Locum Social Worker - Fostering Assessment Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering Service in Knowsley, working primarily within the Fostering Assessment Team.
Knowsley's fostering service consists of two dedicated teams, and this role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and well-structured environment focused on delivering high-quality assessments and positive outcomes for children and carers.

Responsibilities:
- Complete Connected Carer Assessments using the Form K template
- Undertake Mainstream Fostering Assessments using the Form F template
- Complete Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Assessments
- Conduct Viability Assessments
- Undertake Regulation 24 Assessments whilst on duty
- Produce clear, analytical, and high-quality assessment reports
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies
- Promote safe and child-centred fostering practice
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- Diploma / Degree in Social Work
- Social Work England registration
- Experience within Fostering Services / Assessment Teams
- Experience completing Form K, Form F, and/or SGO Assessments
- Strong assessment and analytical writing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a duty environment
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
