We're proud to be working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit passionate and experienced Social Workers for their Youth Prevention and Transition (YPT) Team within Children's Services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist multi-agency team that works with young people who have been involved in offending behaviour. The team's aim is to prevent re-offending, promote positive change, and support young people as they transition successfully into adulthood.

What You'll Do:
- Work directly with young people involved in offending or at risk of offending, providing targeted interventions and support
- Develop individualised care and intervention plans to address risks, promote positive behaviour, and encourage engagement with education, employment, or training
- Collaborate closely with Youth Justice, education providers, health, police, and community partners to deliver joined-up, effective support
- Support transition planning for young people moving into adulthood, ensuring continuity of care and positive outcomes
- Prepare professional assessments and reports, including for court or multi-agency meetings, ensuring decisions are informed and child-focused
- Promote a strengths-based approach, empowering young people to make positive, lasting changes
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working with young people involved in or at risk of offending, or within Youth Justice, Child Protection, or similar social care settings
- Court experience and confidence in preparing and presenting professional assessments and reports
Social Work England (SWE) registration
A BSc or equivalent qualification in Social Work - Excellent communication, resilience, and a passion for helping young people achieve their goals.
