Quality Engineer
Maintain product Quality and improve processes and procedures. Support the organization to meet customer
expectations for products and services. Support Quality Manager to plan, organize, direct, improve and control,
through plant team, quality system, processes and compliances. When involved in quality planning, this position
will ensure that a documented comprehensive quality system is in place at product introduction to ensure customer
requirements are met or exceeded. When involved with production Supplier/Customer Certificates of Conformities,
coordinate and prepare review/submissions from/to the supplier/customer.
Major Actions
1. Using advanced quality tools and methods, support Quality Manager to Implement, improve and monitor

the company's management system to meet customer and LPA's requirements and expectations. Lead,
develop and coach plant staff to play the roles of (police, doctor and coach) and facilitate quality branch
activities. Lead problem solving (8D report etc.), implement corrective actions in a plant, and document it
in knowledge database. Support Quality Manager to hold the plant team accountable for maintaining
records and reports in a concise manner, and update documents accordingly.
2. When involved in new product introduction, champion advanced quality planning process on developing
customer orders by acting as internal and external customer liaison. Plan and prevent customer concerns
using advanced quality planning concepts and methods (including PFMEA etc.) in conjunction with core
team by being the quality liaison. Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, Materials, and Engineering
on product implementation. Perform customer documentation for all customers using their standards or
customer specified format. Develop methods to check and ensure downstream quality in new products and
ensure quality of existing products
3. Assist Quality Manager and quality department to provide support to plant operations (such as continuous
improvements) and service to the customer. Establish and implement procedures to ensure quality of the
incoming and outgoing material.
4. Ensure Compliances of quality, regulatory, and customer requirements, such as ISO 9001, AS9100
5. When involved in PPAP/FAIR, review, coordinate and prepare PPAP/FAIR submissions, and follow up for
approvals. Follow up with unresponsive customers to ensure feedback is received in a timely manner.
Communicate any concession status to the appropriate functional groups to ensure all products being
shipped are approved by the customer.
6. Maintain/improve customer and supplier intimacy through creating effective working relations.
7. When applicable: maintain, verify and approve measurement and test equipment and gauge. Set-up and
verify gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies, develop and implement proper calibration and usage
methods. Establish and maintain gauge software systems and keep all equipment calibrated and ready to
use.
8. Fulfil responsibilities in Health & Safety as defined by legislation and the company H&S program. Support a
safety first approach maintaining a zero accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention
and safe working environment across the business.

Educational and Experience
- College (or equivalent).
- Time service apprenticeship
- A university degree is desirable.
Experience:
- More than 2 years' experience within an ISO9000 manufacturing environment
- Knowledge Skills and Ability.
- Good planning, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Problem solving skills are required.
- Advanced tools such as Six Sigma, Taguchi, etc are highly desired.
- Multi-tasking strong advanced statistical technical skills are also highly desired.
- Knowledge of Process audit
- Knowledge of APQP Core Tools, and GD&T (must be able to read engineering drawings.)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Attention to detail
