Project Overview
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join a highways project in Norwich for a short-term, intensive contract. This role is a priority hire to oversee quality compliance across specific civil packages including drainage and piling works.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities meet the required specifications and that the handover documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance: Manage and verify ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) for highways, deep drainage, and piling operations.
Inspections: Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet project standards and client requirements.
Documentation: Close out quality files, manage RFI logs, and ensure all test results (cubes, compaction, etc.) are recorded correctly.
Non-Conformance: Identify, record, and manage the resolution of any non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Handover: Assist in the collation of data for the final quality health safety file.
Requirements
Technical Experience: Proven background in highways construction with specific knowledge of drainage and piling quality standards.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with National Highways specifications and quality management systems.
Detail Oriented: Strong ability to spot defects and ensure technical compliance on live site works.
Qualifications: Relevant CSCS card and a degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Status: PAYE only.
Duration: 4 weeks (Immediate start).
Location: Norwich based.
