Our client is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join their production team.
Our client manufactures machine elements and modules in the field of mechanical engineering, robotics and automation.
They are seeking an individual with strong experience as a CNC / Machine operator who is looking to make a move into quality.
Key requirements and responsibilities for the role are as follows -
- The implementation and management of international standards such as ISO9001/2015 and others as maybe required. Including: carrying out internal and external audits, corrective actions and audit close outs in relation to preparing for ISO audits.
- Task and time manage the quality team's daily activities to deliver 3e's (economy, efficiency and effectiveness).
- Liaising with production to ensure adequate inspection resources are in place to execute the daily production schedule.
- Investigate and perform root cause analysis on external returns or internal investigations that are assigned and respond to these in a timely manner using 8D Corrective Action Reporting and problem solving methods such as DMAIC, Fishbone, brainstorming etc.
- Monitor and control calibration of all inspection equipment within the business.
- Maintain all product, material and certificates of conformance documentation for product traceability.
- Production drawing revision and control.
- Implement and champion a continuous improvement planning, review and training process to achieve business targets and actively promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.
- Develop and Maintain systems that support production and quality operatives in completing their assigned responsibilities such as Standard Operating Procedures, Inspection Logs, Inspection and Process Training etc.
- Develop and maintain a system for documenting and quarantining non-conforming parts.
- Develop and maintain a system for identifying and valuing scrap and rework within the business.
- Develop and maintain monthly quality reporting with agreed upon KPI's which display trends, insights and areas of improvement opportunity.
- Oversee compliance of the business to REACH and RoHS.
- Undertake additional roles and other ad hoc duties as maybe required from time to time to support the business such as Training, Project work etc.
