KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Procure trade packages, run tender comparisons, and negotiate subcontractor terms.
* Issue formal subcontract agreements and orders on schedule.
* Manage monthly valuations, payment notices, variations, and CVRs.
* Forecast cash flow, monitor site expenditure, and identify cost risks.
* Agree final accounts with trade subcontractors.
* Collaborate with site production and technical teams to resolve commercial issues.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
* 3 to 5+ years experience as a QS or Assistant QS with a UK housebuilder or residential main contractor.
* Proven track record procuring and managing trade packages on housing schemes.
* Strong CVR, forecasting, and final accounts capability.
* Able to work 5 days per week on site or in office in the Gatwick area.
* Full UK driving licence.
Preferred:
* Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
* Experience with timber frame, MMC, and traditional build.
* COINS or Excel commercial software proficiency.

Seeking a Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for new build residential developments across the Gatwick region. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage trade packages from pre-construction procurement through to final accounts. Requires a 5 day on site and office presence.
