We are seeking a visionary Registered Manager to lead this project. Whether you are an established Manager or a seasoned Deputy with 4+ years of experience looking to "step up," this is a rare opportunity to shape a service from day one.
The Opportunity:
We are offering a strategic transition period to ensure the home and its leadership is set up for long-term success:
Retainer Phase (Immediate): Earn a £2,000 retainer plus payment for ad-hoc consultancy work to begin the Ofsted registration process. This is flexible and can be managed alongside your current role.
Full Contract (Month 6): Transition to your full-time salary to focus exclusively on staff recruitment and final site preparations.
Go-Live (Month 8): The home officially opens following Ofsted registration.
Early Start Option: For those needing a full-time role immediately, we have vacancies in our Southern services with a guaranteed transfer to the Newcastle home in 6 months.
Key Details:
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
Bonus: Competitive performance-based bonus scheme.
Retainer: £2,000 upfront for registration support.
Benefits: 28 days annual leave and employer pension contribution.
Key Responsibilities
Registration: Lead the Ofsted registration process for a new 3-bed home (specializing in EBD or LD).
Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a brand-new staff team during the pre-opening phase.
Operational Management: Oversee daily budgets, care plans, and safeguarding protocols to provide a nurturing environment for young people.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in a Children's Residential setting.
Qualifications: Must hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be currently working towards it).
Expertise: Experience with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) or LD (Learning Disabilities). Candidates with dual experience are highly preferred.
Drive: The ability to work autonomously during the pre-opening phase and the grit to build a therapeutic culture from scratch.

Located in the NE7 area of Heaton, this 3-bed property will be a modern, high-standard provision. While the specific designation (EBD vs. LD) is being finalised, the incoming Manager will have a significant say in shaping the statement of purpose and the therapeutic model adopted by the home.
