About Us:

Sylva Gardens is a registered Children's Home in Llandudno, providing a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment for up to 3 children aged up to 18. Our care is centred on individual needs, helping each young person grow in confidence, independence, and community inclusion.

What You'll Do:

• Empower and support young people to have their voices heard and develop future-ready life skills.
• Plan and deliver fun, creative activities like trampolining, beach trips, swimming, baking, and arts & crafts.
• Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team in the home and local community.
• Provide a kind, homely, and safe environment tailored to each child's unique development needs.
• Use a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach to promote emotional wellbeing and reduce restrictive practices.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with young people to help them thrive.
• Work flexibly, including unsociable hours, as part of a rota system.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in working with children and young people with complex and challenging behaviours.
• A QCF Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) - essential for Social Care Wales registration.
• A commitment to training, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Makaton, PECS, and other communication tools.
• A creative, resilient, and emotionally intelligent approach to care.
• A supportive, positive, and empathetic personality with a strong team ethic.
