Core Responsibilities
- Deliver high-standard 24-hour care to vulnerable young people within a residential educational environment.
- Support service users dealing with complex needs, early trauma, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
- Foster independence by assisting young people with school routines, activities, and life skills.
- Maintain clear professional boundaries and uphold Scottish National Care Standards.
- Collaborate seamlessly with permanent on-site staff to ensure safe, continuous care.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience: Proven track record in a residential setting working with children or young adults.
- Registration: Active PVG scheme membership (or willingness to register).
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or Social Care (or equivalent SSSC-recognised qualification) is highly desirable.
- Transport: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred due to the location in Auchterarder.
- Attributes: Resilience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
Transferable ExperienceThis position is also well-suited to individuals with a background as a Youth Worker, Support Practitioner, Residential Care Officer, Additional Support Needs (ASN) Assistant, or Community Support Worker.
