Your Role and Responsibilities* Deliver nurturing, high-standard daily care to children aged 8 to 18, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
* Protect young people by maintaining robust safeguarding standards and non-judgmental professional boundaries.
* Support education, prepare nutritious meals, handle home maintenance tasks, and organize enjoyable recreational activities.
* Travel between residential settings within the local area using dedicated site vehicles.
* Work collaboratively with established home teams, picking up flexible day shifts or 24-hour patterns involving sleepovers.
Essential Criteria* Licence: Must hold a full, valid UK manual driving licence.
* Values: A patient, resilient, and active listener dedicated to forming strong, supportive connections.
* Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communication alongside foundational IT skills using Microsoft applications.
* Compliance: Willingness to undergo background checks and register with relevant regulatory schemes (costs fully funded).
Desirable Experience* Prior background in a children's or young adults' residential setting (1 year highly preferred).
* Hold or be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 / SCQF Level 7 in Children and Young People's Residential Care (or English equivalent).
