Randstad are looking for Residential Childcare workers who will support in providing critical overall welfare of young people in a residential/secure setting. We are looking for dedicated individuals to provide care and support to young people in a safe, stimulating, and secure environment.
The Role: Making a Difference
As an RCCW, you'll be key to promoting the well being and protection of children and young people. Your primary purpose is to provide quality care, actively promoting the rights of the children and young people as individuals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing care and support in line with legislative, procedural, and good practice requirements and guidance
- Working effectively as part of a team supervising, monitoring, and supporting young people to reach their full potential
- Contributing to the assessment of children and young people's risks and needs through the development of care plans
- Supporting the social, emotional, and identity development of children and young people and working with them to promote their own physical and mental health needs
- Preparing, implementing, and evaluating group activities to address the offending behaviours of children and young people
- The ability to maintain confidentiality of client information is critical to this role
What We Offer: Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time role of 37 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern , covering 7 days per week, 365 days per year (Early and Late shifts).

Economic Conditions & Benefits:
- Annual Leave: Starting at 20 days plus 12 public holidays

Possess or working towards the HNC in Social Care and/or an SVQ in Care at Level 3 (or Caring for Children and Young People)
Social Work Degree
Experience
Experience in working in social care
Preferably in residential child care or secure care

Team working, good interpersonal and motivational skills, time management, planning and organisational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must also have the mental strength to cope with challenging situations and maintain accurate records and write reports
