Randstad has been working with a well-established residential childcare provider based in the East Coast of Scotland, providing therapeutic residential childcare services since 2013. This service is looking for caring, committed, resilient, and empathetic senior residential childcare workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising key workers and supporting the team's development.
Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of the children and young people in the home by promoting a therapeutic and welcoming environment and providing the highest quality of care. As a case manager, you will work as part of a team, carrying out day-to-day quality assurance, observations, support, and guidance while maintaining positive relationships with the children, their families, the care team, and external professionals.
Salary and Benefits The hourly rate is in the range of
£14.25 to £17.00. The approximate salary range is
£34,412 to £40,132 per annum, which includes a sleepover allowance. Fully qualified and experienced applicants with HNC, SVQ3, and SVQ4 will be on a minimum pay rate of £15 per hour, which is approximately £35,972 annually, inclusive of the sleepover allowance.

Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate must have two or more years of experience working with and caring for vulnerable young people in a residential care setting. Candidates must also be fully qualified to work as a residential childcare worker and meet the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) requirements for registration.
Essential Requirements:
- Clean driving license
- Experience in the residential child care sector
- Ability to work unsocial hours, including weekends
- Willingness to transport young people using company vehicles
- HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent qualifications for Senior Residential Child Care Workers
- Ambitious and willing to work towards set targets or goals
The preferred shift patterns are full days, sleep-ins, and on-calls.
