Your Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of day-to-day therapeutic care to vulnerable children within a dedicated residential setting.
- Create a safe, nurturing home environment by assisting with food preparation, domestic duties, and everyday routines.
- Build trusting, non-judgmental relationships to guide young people through challenging moments with patience and confidence.
- Drive children to and from school, appointments, and fun-filled recreational outings.
- Collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team, including psychology and educational specialists, to tailor individual care plans.
- Maintain clear, precise progress notes and adhere to regulatory safeguarding standards.
What we need from you
- Resilience & Empathy: A kind, supportive nature with the confidence to handle challenging behaviours through a therapeutic approach.
- Licence: A valid, full UK manual driving licence is essential.
- Qualifications & Learning: A desire to undertake professional qualifications (such as SCQF Level 7 / SVQ Level 3). Existing PVG registration is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication, strong interpersonal attributes, and proficient basic IT skills.
Transferable Experience
This role is ideal for experienced Support Workers, but may also suit candidates with background experience as a Youth Worker, Support Practitioner, Social Care Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or Community Care Officer.
