Job: Residential Support Worker
Location: Bromley
Salary: £13.00 - £18.00 per hour
We are searching for seasoned and composed Support Workers to join our specialist team in Bromley. This is a demanding but highly rewarding position, placing you as a key mentor for vulnerable young people facing crisis.
Your proven ability to manage challenging situations, foster positive relationships, and calm heightened behaviours is essential for creating a secure and nurturing home environment.
Your Role and Impact
Deliver outstanding daily care and support to young people in a residential home.
Act decisively and appropriately during high-pressure incidents, using your skills to defuse tension.
Develop rapport and trust with young people through creative and positive engagement.
Ensure all logs and incident reports are maintained accurately and with precision.
Partner with the wider team to execute established care plans.
Maintain clear professional and personal boundaries, demonstrating sound judgement.
Our Must-Haves (Essential Requirements)
This specialist role requires:
The right to work in the UK.
A minimum of 6 months' paid experience in a children's residential setting (within the last 3 years).
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
A valid overseas police check (if you lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years).

Holding an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People.
