Who We're Looking For
- You must have an NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People, an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children & Young People), or a Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent. Alternatively, you must be willing to complete an NVQ 3 when you start in post.
- You have experience working with children in a paid or voluntary capacity, including working with and understanding children who exhibit challenging behaviours.
- You have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
- You are self-motivated and can communicate complex information clearly and accurately in spoken English. You also have working knowledge of business applications like Microsoft 365 and can demonstrate an understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

- Build rapport and demonstrate empathy and respect while working in partnership with children, their families, and other professionals.
- Provide care and interventions that adapt to the varied needs of children and contribute to wider care plans.
- Maintain a calm and composed demeanour while working under pressure and responding to unexpected or emotive problems.
- Apply your knowledge of child development and the effects of separation from families to support children.
- Write comprehensive, clear, and accurate reports and records to support decision-making.
- Work on your own initiative while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
